Reading Extravaganza - June 8th

A free & fun family literacy event, open to the public, held at the famed and historic Storyland Playland. There will be games, giveaways, raffles and entertainment while we expose families to different books, community resources and reading for entertainment, education and empowerment. Not only will families be exposed to a wealth of resources on that one day but they will be able to take advantage of the programs each participating organization offer for the summer and beyond.

Come and enjoy reading with some of our favorite local new reporters, authors, and politicians. Enjoy this opportunity to read and connect with the community around you.

Arts & Crafts

Kids can enjoy creating mini masterpieces with the help of select vendors in a creative and friendly environment. Kids will be able to express themselves and enjoy time with arts and crafts.

Science

Come out and learn about new fun and exciting technology with select vendors. Kids will have the opportunity to learn and play around with modern science, such as coding a robot with the help of experts.

Mascots

Enjoy an environment with mascots from all your favorite TV shows. You will get to hang out and take pictures with some awesome characters who want to share their love of reading with our community.
